Our Chair completes London Marathon raising over £9,000

Our Management Group Chair, Brittany Jones, completed the iconic run to raise funds for our work

We are proud to share the news that our chair of the Management Group, Brittany Jones, completed the London Marathon on Sunday 27 April, in aid of the Foodbank.

Brittany has been a volunteer with the Foodbank since 2021 and became chair of the management group last year.

Brittany said "What an incredible experience. I'm grateful to the Finchley Foodbank team for the amazing love and support during my preparation and on the day. And thank you to the donors, friends, family and volunteers who contributed so generously to our fundraising total.

“Thanks also to Taylor Wimpey North Thames for their generous donation of £500 from the community fund for their North Finchley development, The Tramworks.

“All funds raised go directly to support the work of the Foodbank to provide for local people experiencing food poverty.”

Brittany’s fundraising is set up here - Brittany Jones Marathon for Finchley Foodbank – with over £8,800 raised through the fundraising platform, and £500 from Taylor Wimpey, and will remain open until the end of June 2025.
