Partnership with Power Up North London

We’re very pleased to announce this partnership with Power Up North London to enhance our sessions with free energy advice for FFB clients.

Free Energy Advice at Our Sessions

Power Up North London advisors will be at our foodbank sessions every Tuesday and some Saturdays to provide free advice on a range of issues including reviewing energy bills and tariffs, changing suppliers, and accessing discounts.

Advisers will also help clients with guidance on damp and mould. Free energy-saving items will also be available, including LED bulbs, radiator foils and draught-proofing kits, plus simple and practical tips to reduce energy costs and stay warm.

A Critical Time for Local Support

Paul Woodward, Chair of Trustees for Finchley Foodbank, said:
“This collaboration comes at a critical time, as the weather gets colder and people start to struggle with the costs of keeping warm and dry. We are glad to partner with Power Up North London and welcome their advisors to our food bank sessions, making them even more valuable for our clients.”

Working Together to Tackle Fuel Poverty

Tanuja Pandit, CEO at Power Up North London, said:
We are delighted to be present at some of FFB’s sessions over the next few months to provide help, advice, support for their clients to help them stay warm, stay dry, and minimise bills. Working in partnership with a well-established organisation like FFB means we can make a real impact together on tackling fuel poverty in Barnet.
