This week we welcomed 10 new families to Finchley Foodbank. Families are starting to feel the effect of the withdrawal of the additional £20 being withdrawn from universal credit and our numbers are increasing. This weeks much needed items are: - UHT milk - sanitary towels, we have enough tampons - tinned meat, such as chilli con carne, corned beef, ham and pies - empty egg boxes for 12 eggs 🎄Last year, because of the generous donations we received from our supporters, we were able to provide all children who we supported over the Christmas period, with a toy shop voucher to the value of £15. The children were excited to be able to choose their own toys & the adults were overjoyed to receive such a wonderful gift. 🎄 🌟From our own funds we were able to give a supermarket voucher to each family to spend on something special for the family at Christmas. 🌟 🎅Added to this, a charity matchfunded the money raised, which brought funds to allow us to supply food to our foodbank during January and February, when demand is greatest.🎅 If you would like to support us this year with our Christams toy voucher appeal, please contact us at finchleyfoodbank@gmail.com or by Facebook messanger for the bank transfer details. Alternatively, follow the link below to our Just Giving page (Please add a note to say the money is intended for the toy voucher appeal, so we can allocate it to the appeal) 🙏We can't THANK YOU ENOUGH for the support you give us, particularly at Christmas. 🙏 https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charity-web/charity/displayCharityCampaignPage.action?charityCampaignUrl=Finchleyfoodbank
